Life is complete with these dreamy bars! I honestly am sooo obsessed that I’ve been eating these for breakfast, dessert and even enjoying them as a mid-afternoon snack! They’re truly so versatile. They’re made with all clean, natural and good-for-you ingredients and are naturally sweetened with dates and honey, making them free of refined sugar. They’re also free of dairy, grains and gluten, but definitely not lacking in flavor. I also love the consistency of these bars! The crust is perfectly moist and chewy while the turmeric honey topping is light, fluffy and perfectly sweet. What’s not to love?!

The crust is SO simple to make and only requires two healthy ingredients: just raw cashews and dates. The turmeric honey topping is also made with simple and clean ingredients: Wedderspoon Raw Manuka Honey, eggs, almond milk and turmeric – that’s it! No refined sugar, grains, gluten or dairy!

I want to briefly talk about the two superstar ingredients in this recipe; the raw Manuka honey and the turmeric. Raw Manuka honey is different from regular honey because the nutritional content is up to four times that of normal flower honeys. It has immune-boosting abilities and also has an amazing nutritional profile. It’s rich in amino acids, B vitamins, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium and zinc. Wedderspoon is my go-to brand for raw Manuka honey because all of their gourmet honeys are sourced in New Zealand, where they use sustainable resources to collect and harvest their honey. They are also Non-GMO verified, which is very important to me!

The other ingredient that makes these bars special is turmeric. Turmeric is a powerful herb that acts as an anti-inflammatory and can boost the immune system. It can also help to heal your gut and boost your mood, so why not use it as an ingredient in these bars? I find the turmeric pairs so perfectly with the honey too!

These bars stay good in the refrigerator for up to five days, but they freeze well and last in the freezer for months! When you’re ready to have a bar just remove it from the freezer one hour prior to eating and it’ll be the perfect consistency. I also love sending my husband to work with one of these wrapped up in a little tin foil, so they’re easily transportable!

I hope you love these turmeric honey bars as much as I do!!

Creamy chia pudding with all the toppings - love t Creamy chia pudding with all the toppings - love this for a satisfying breakfast! Chia seeds are packed with fiber and most of us don’t get enough fiber in our diets...

To make the chia pudding: in a blender add 1 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup chia seeds & 1/2 ripe banana (the banana is optional, but I love that it naturally sweetens it & makes it nice and creamy. Blend then pour into a jar and refrigerate overnight (or for at least an hour). Add desired toppings. I love fresh berries, grain-free granola & hemp seeds. Love some almond butter drizzled on top too!

I remember about two years ago I had a cough that I remember about two years ago I had a cough that was lingering so I went to a doctor that I had never been to before just to get checked out and make sure everything was okay. The doctor spent under 5 minutes with me, barely checked me out and almost immediately wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic. I was questioning why I was taking an antibiotic and he didn’t really take the time to explain and rushed off to another patient. I trusted my gut instinct that I didn’t need an antibiotic (I am definitely open to taking them was necessary), and 5 days later my cough went away on its own. I could dive deeper into this, but wanted to share that I am so glad I have found a doctor that spends adequate time with me - whenever I need - for as long as I need. You deserve that!! We all deserve that.

I’m so lucky to be in such great hands with @steadymd - they’re an online doctor that’s available via an app on your phone and you can reach out with anything anytime! I spent over an hour last week on the phone with my functional MD going over bloodwork. All of my questions were thoroughly answered. A functional MD is the best fit for ME (my doc takes a whole person approach to health & understands things like training, recovery & nutrition), but whats so great is SteadyMD matches you with a doctor that aligns with YOU and your specific medical needs, diet, lifestyle and goals, not just someone who's local based on a quick quiz you take!

SteadyMD is so convenient and refreshing and is EXACTLY what I've been looking for in a doctor. Plus it's super convenient - No co-pays. No waiting rooms. Just unlimited access to a doctor who “gets” you.

Click the link in my bio or visit steadymd.com/leahsplate to get started.

Thank you so much to SteadyMD for partnering on this post! I’m so grateful to partner with a company I believe in so much 🤍
Peanut butter & banana French toast roll ups!!! De Peanut butter & banana French toast roll ups!!! Def a big hit w the girls!!

First cut the crust off the bread (I used sprouted organic whole wheat) and then flatten with a rolling pin. Spread a layer of peanut butter over the bread, followed by thinly sliced banana (the banana just covering 1/4 of the bread), then roll up. Dip the entire rollup in egg & almond milk mixture (1 egg, 2 tbsp almond milk, cinnamon & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract). Cook on a frying pan over medium heat in coconut oil (or grass-fed butter). I heat up the frying pan a few min before placing the rollup on it. Cook for 2 - 3 min on each side. Drizzle some peanut butter on top & ENJOY!

It’s a beautifullllll day here in South Florida, so planning to spend the rest of the day outside w the girls & Josh. Putting my phone away & being present in what’s REALLY important (which is the people you’re spending time with in REAL life), not scrolling mindlessly on social media - something I’m really working on! 🤍
