Yogurt Chia Berry Parfait // Leah's Plate

Lately I’ve been experimenting with making parfaits. They are fun to get creative with and I end up having a “food art party” in my kitchen. You can layer your parfait any way you like and use any flavor yogurt and any fruit. Mine is just a suggestion 🙂

I’ve been indulging in this parfait for breakfast or an afternoon snack. The protein from the chia seeds and yogurt keeps me satisfied and full of energy for hours.

Yogurt & Chia Parfait

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (I like pure date syrup)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup organic yogurt (any flavor of your liking)
  • fresh berries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chia pudding the night before by combining the chia seeds, sweetener and almond milk in an airtight container.
  2. In the morning make the parfait in the following layering order: yogurt, fresh berries, chia pudding, topped with more fresh berries. You can even sprinkle some granola on top for a nice crunch!

Notes

To make vegan use coconut yogurt, or any non-dairy yogurt
