Sunday Things… 5.20.18

May 20, 2018 by Leah Goldglantz

Rainy Day 1024x683 - Sunday Things... 5.20.18

Hii loves, here I am, still no baby! I’ll be 40 weeks on Friday so it could literally happen any second at this point! I went into labor with Emma at 39 weeks, so definitely thought it would happen by now! I began getting mild contractions yesterday, but definitely not real labor contractions. However, hopefully that means something will happen soon! I’m trying to be patient, relax and hang out with Emma as much as possible before this baby arrives. However, I’m just SOOO excited to meet this little munchkin that it’s hard to keep my mind off of it. We’ve had the rainiest, gloomiest weather here this weekend, but I’m embracing it by being cozy at home for the most part other than heading out yesterday for a mani/pedi followed by lunch with my mama. I hope you all have a nice Sunday!

Here are my favorite finds from this week:

Loving this ‘flat belly smoothie‘ recipe! It just looks so refreshing!!

This healthy paleo no-bake cookie dough – NEEEED!!!

Have you made my easy cinnamon cashew milk yet? It’s soooo good!

I’ll take one of these breakfast burritos please!

Loving this Alo workout tank – buying it now for one day when I maybe have a flat tummy again! It’ll be good motivation haha!

Obsessed with this rib tank dress! Perfect on it’s own or throw a jean jacket over it for a more casual look!

Love love loveeeee this black dress & love the low price point even more!

I remember about two years ago I had a cough that I remember about two years ago I had a cough that was lingering so I went to a doctor that I had never been to before just to get checked out and make sure everything was okay. The doctor spent under 5 minutes with me, barely checked me out and almost immediately wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic. I was questioning why I was taking an antibiotic and he didn’t really take the time to explain and rushed off to another patient. I trusted my gut instinct that I didn’t need an antibiotic (I am definitely open to taking them was necessary), and 5 days later my cough went away on its own. I could dive deeper into this, but wanted to share that I am so glad I have found a doctor that spends adequate time with me - whenever I need - for as long as I need. You deserve that!! We all deserve that.

I’m so lucky to be in such great hands with @steadymd - they’re an online doctor that’s available via an app on your phone and you can reach out with anything anytime! I spent over an hour last week on the phone with my functional MD going over bloodwork. All of my questions were thoroughly answered. A functional MD is the best fit for ME (my doc takes a whole person approach to health & understands things like training, recovery & nutrition), but whats so great is SteadyMD matches you with a doctor that aligns with YOU and your specific medical needs, diet, lifestyle and goals, not just someone who's local based on a quick quiz you take!

SteadyMD is so convenient and refreshing and is EXACTLY what I've been looking for in a doctor. Plus it's super convenient - No co-pays. No waiting rooms. Just unlimited access to a doctor who “gets” you.

Click the link in my bio or visit steadymd.com/leahsplate to get started.

Thank you so much to SteadyMD for partnering on this post! I’m so grateful to partner with a company I believe in so much 🤍
Peanut butter & banana French toast roll ups!!! De Peanut butter & banana French toast roll ups!!! Def a big hit w the girls!!

First cut the crust off the bread (I used sprouted organic whole wheat) and then flatten with a rolling pin. Spread a layer of peanut butter over the bread, followed by thinly sliced banana (the banana just covering 1/4 of the bread), then roll up. Dip the entire rollup in egg & almond milk mixture (1 egg, 2 tbsp almond milk, cinnamon & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract). Cook on a frying pan over medium heat in coconut oil (or grass-fed butter). I heat up the frying pan a few min before placing the rollup on it. Cook for 2 - 3 min on each side. Drizzle some peanut butter on top & ENJOY!

It’s a beautifullllll day here in South Florida, so planning to spend the rest of the day outside w the girls & Josh. Putting my phone away & being present in what’s REALLY important (which is the people you’re spending time with in REAL life), not scrolling mindlessly on social media - something I’m really working on! 🤍
Magical almond flour chocolate chip cookie bars!! Magical almond flour chocolate chip cookie bars!! These babies are soft, gooey & DELISHHH! They’re dairy-free & grain / gluten-free & sweetened with coconut sugar.

Recipe:

Preheat oven to 350F and line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.

In a large bowl combine 1/2 cup melted plant based / vegan butter, 1 pasture-raised egg, 2 tsp vanilla extract & 1 cup coconut sugar. Mix well and then add in the dry ingredients: 2 cups almond flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt &
3/4 cup chocolate chips (I use paleo / vegan choc chips). Mix again.

The batter should be a cookie dough like consistency. Place in the oven and bake for 25 min. Let cool completely and then slice into bars. Enjoyyyyy! You’ll be obsessed!

If you make this make sure to tag me so I can see 🤍
