Sunday Things… 3.31.19

March 31, 2019 by Leah Goldglantz

u3 768x1024 - Sunday Things... 3.31.19

How is it the last day of March?! Time is seriously flying. April is my birthday month (and Josh’s) so I always look forward to it. This weekend has been eventful! Friday night we grabbed a low-key quick dinner with the girls (all about quick spots when the kids are with us) at Fresh Kitchen. Saturday we went to Frozen on Ice with Emma and today I had lunch at True Food with a friend. I also got myself organized for the week ahead which always feels soo good. The weekend ended with some pool time and pizza with friends. Hope everyone had a lovely Sunday!

Here are my favorite finds from this week:

This paleo sweet potato carrot cake looks incredible! The perfect dessert recipe to bring to your spring gatherings.

Very into smoothies lately and this peanut butter mocha smoothie is perfection!

Eat more walnuts… they may help to fight breast cancer! I happen to be eating walnuts a lot lately.

VERY into this anti-inflammatory turmeric rice – sounds so nourishing and cozy.

This 5 minute vegan cashew queso is calling my name – I want it right now!

These vegan gooey chocolate coconut caramel bars – yessssss!!

9 great hotels to heal and reset – I want to go to all of them!

How pretty is this dress? Just ordered!

This maxi dress is also so pretty!

Need this flowy dress in my life.

The most perfect ripped denim shorts! Not a bad price point either…

Love this dress for a spring or summer wedding!

Creamy chia pudding with all the toppings - love t Creamy chia pudding with all the toppings - love this for a satisfying breakfast! Chia seeds are packed with fiber and most of us don’t get enough fiber in our diets...

To make the chia pudding: in a blender add 1 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup chia seeds & 1/2 ripe banana (the banana is optional, but I love that it naturally sweetens it & makes it nice and creamy. Blend then pour into a jar and refrigerate overnight (or for at least an hour). Add desired toppings. I love fresh berries, grain-free granola & hemp seeds. Love some almond butter drizzled on top too!

I remember about two years ago I had a cough that I remember about two years ago I had a cough that was lingering so I went to a doctor that I had never been to before just to get checked out and make sure everything was okay. The doctor spent under 5 minutes with me, barely checked me out and almost immediately wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic. I was questioning why I was taking an antibiotic and he didn’t really take the time to explain and rushed off to another patient. I trusted my gut instinct that I didn’t need an antibiotic (I am definitely open to taking them was necessary), and 5 days later my cough went away on its own. I could dive deeper into this, but wanted to share that I am so glad I have found a doctor that spends adequate time with me - whenever I need - for as long as I need. You deserve that!! We all deserve that.

I’m so lucky to be in such great hands with @steadymd - they’re an online doctor that’s available via an app on your phone and you can reach out with anything anytime! I spent over an hour last week on the phone with my functional MD going over bloodwork. All of my questions were thoroughly answered. A functional MD is the best fit for ME (my doc takes a whole person approach to health & understands things like training, recovery & nutrition), but whats so great is SteadyMD matches you with a doctor that aligns with YOU and your specific medical needs, diet, lifestyle and goals, not just someone who's local based on a quick quiz you take!

SteadyMD is so convenient and refreshing and is EXACTLY what I've been looking for in a doctor. Plus it's super convenient - No co-pays. No waiting rooms. Just unlimited access to a doctor who “gets” you.

Click the link in my bio or visit steadymd.com/leahsplate to get started.

Thank you so much to SteadyMD for partnering on this post! I’m so grateful to partner with a company I believe in so much 🤍
