Sunday Things… 12.11.16

Sunday Things... 12.11.16 1024x681 - Sunday Things... 12.11.16

Hi dolls! Happy Sunday! As I’m sitting here sipping on my daily coffee I just found out that I’m intolerant to coffee – ahhh… I’m going to do a blog post on my food intolerances this week to fill you in. I’ve decided to enjoy every last sip of coffee for a few more days before giving it up 🙁

This weekend has been incredible! We celebrated Emma’s first birthday yesterday (even though her actual birthday is the 15th). It is so amazing seeing her grow up and watching her little personality come through. She’s made this past year the best year of my life and I can’t wait for what’s ahead!

This morning I’m going to check out Core Evolution – I took a class at their Palm Beach Gardens location a while ago, but live far from there so once I found out they opened another location near me I was thrilled!

This chocolate ganache tart is on my ‘need to make’ list – it’s healthy too!

I’m loving these holiday comfort foods gone healthy (one of my recipes was included – yay)!!

I made this pumpkin seed pesto pasta with squash and it came out delicious!!

SunBasket has an amazing party platter for the holidays! If you’re hosting you’ll want to check this out! It includes everything you need to create an amazing appetizer spread for 8 – 10 people.

Creamy chia pudding with all the toppings - love t Creamy chia pudding with all the toppings - love this for a satisfying breakfast! Chia seeds are packed with fiber and most of us don’t get enough fiber in our diets...

To make the chia pudding: in a blender add 1 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup chia seeds & 1/2 ripe banana (the banana is optional, but I love that it naturally sweetens it & makes it nice and creamy. Blend then pour into a jar and refrigerate overnight (or for at least an hour). Add desired toppings. I love fresh berries, grain-free granola & hemp seeds. Love some almond butter drizzled on top too!

I remember about two years ago I had a cough that I remember about two years ago I had a cough that was lingering so I went to a doctor that I had never been to before just to get checked out and make sure everything was okay. The doctor spent under 5 minutes with me, barely checked me out and almost immediately wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic. I was questioning why I was taking an antibiotic and he didn’t really take the time to explain and rushed off to another patient. I trusted my gut instinct that I didn’t need an antibiotic (I am definitely open to taking them was necessary), and 5 days later my cough went away on its own. I could dive deeper into this, but wanted to share that I am so glad I have found a doctor that spends adequate time with me - whenever I need - for as long as I need. You deserve that!! We all deserve that.

I’m so lucky to be in such great hands with @steadymd - they’re an online doctor that’s available via an app on your phone and you can reach out with anything anytime! I spent over an hour last week on the phone with my functional MD going over bloodwork. All of my questions were thoroughly answered. A functional MD is the best fit for ME (my doc takes a whole person approach to health & understands things like training, recovery & nutrition), but whats so great is SteadyMD matches you with a doctor that aligns with YOU and your specific medical needs, diet, lifestyle and goals, not just someone who's local based on a quick quiz you take!

SteadyMD is so convenient and refreshing and is EXACTLY what I've been looking for in a doctor. Plus it's super convenient - No co-pays. No waiting rooms. Just unlimited access to a doctor who “gets” you.

Click the link in my bio or visit steadymd.com/leahsplate to get started.

Thank you so much to SteadyMD for partnering on this post! I’m so grateful to partner with a company I believe in so much 🤍
