Productive things to do at home 576x1024 - If you're still spending a lot of time at home...

Hi friends. I know many of you are still spending lots of time at home for the most part. I’m still spending a lot of time at home. Right now I’m home with both kids, so my days are consumed by kid activities and keeping them happy and sane. However, early in the morning before they wake up and after they go to bed when I have some free time to myself I wanted to share what I’ve been doing over the past few months to keep busy, happy and healthy:

Do online workouts. I shared a bunch in this post! I workout in the morning before Josh starts working so he can be with the kids. I know if I don’t get it done and out of the way first thing in the morning it’ll never happen. I also notice such a difference in my mood and energy (for the better) when I workout (even if it’s just a 20 minute yoga flow).

Organize your pantry. I bought tons of bins and baskets from here to help get everything organized. I tossed out anything that expired and donated food that I knew I probably wouldn’t get to before the expiration date.

Organize and declutter the cabinets in your bathroom. This made me feel SO good!! I donated lots of beauty products – It was overwhelming me how much I had. I just kept with I use religiously on a daily or weekly basis. Anything I hadn’t touched in over a month was donated or tossed.

Clean out your closet. I sold some handbags that I never use and donated lots of clothes that I haven’t touched in over a year. I also color coordinated my closet – which makes me so happy! I donate to Salvation Army.

Read all the articles and books you’ve had on your ‘to read’ list. I have to be honest. I have yet to read a book during this time (so busy with the kids) – but I have plans to do so!

Bake. I’ve been baking nonstop (I find baking therapeutic and I also love nibbling on something homemade with clean ingredients throughout the week). Some of the best things I’ve baked the past few months while at home: banana foster banana bread, maple sea salt chocolate chip cookies, golden mylk banana bread, chocolate chip banana bread bites and vegan chocolate chip cookies

Netflix: here are the shows I want to watch: Love is Blind, Dead To Me, Blacklist, Grace & Frankie, Goop, Cheer, Sex Education, The Morning Show, Dead To Me, What If, You, Dirty John, Addictive, Elite. I just finished All American and absolutely LOVED it!

Board games and puzzles. I’ve been playing Candy Land with Emma. Josh and I said we are going to start playing chess or doing a puzzle once the kids go to bed.

Sign up for an online course in something you’ve been interested in or always wanted to do. I’m thinking of enrolling in IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition). I’m also planning to take a photography course so I can finally learn how to use my real camera (I shoot everything on my iPhone).

Write reviews for your favorite local restaurant and gym on Google and Yelp. I’m doing everything I can to support them during this difficult time.
