January 3, 2021 by Leah Goldglantz Leave a Comment

This is been a LONG time coming! I can’t believe I’ve had this blog since 2015 and have yet to publish a healthy food guide for my city!! I’ve had SO many requests for this healthy food guide in Boca & Delray from both people who live here and people who are vacationing here! ENJOY!!!!!

healthy food guide boca delray 576x1024 - Healthy Food Guide in Boca / Delray

Boca Raton:

Bolay (order at the counter / quick service)

Fresh Kitchen (order at the counter / quick service)

J&J Fresh Kitchen (super casual, can order at counter, or waiter / waitress service from table).

CoreLife Eatery (order at counter / quick service)

Raw Juce (love their smoothies & bowls! they also have some good lunch bowls).

Playa Bowls (smoothies, acai bowls, and SO many creative breakfast bowls)!

3 Natives (order at the counter / quick service). Everything from breakfast to lunch.

Farmer’s Table (one of my favorite restaurants). They have an amazing brunch on the weekends too!

True Food Kitchen (love love loveee this restaurant for lunch and dinner + weekend brunch)!

Farmhouse Kitchen (love this restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner). They have a location in both Boca and Delray.

Seasons52 (nice restaurant for dining in).

FitLife Foods (for prepared foods to-go – I love picking up dinner to-go from here on nights I don’t have the time or energy to cook).

4th Generation Market (grab something to-go from the cafe inside – or they have a few tables). Also LOVE their prepared foods!

Living Green Cafe (love this quick service concept)!

The Seed (love their coffee + some healthy menu options for a quick bite)

Poke Jay (delicious poke bowls)

Delray:

Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar nice restaurant for lunch or dinner.

PurLife Cafe to grab a quick healthy bite – lots of good options. They have a location in Boca as well, but I’ve only been to the one in Delray.

The New Vegan if you’re vegan then you’ll love it here! I’ve always been so happy with my meal any time I’ve gone.

Bear’s Food Shack great spot to grab a quick bite!

Whole Green Cafe lots of good options!

FitFoodz dine in or take out from this spot in West Delray – I like that they have an extensive menu with lots of options.

Organic Kitchen & Mercantile – okay I know this technically isn’t in Delray (it’s just a few minutes north in Boynton Beach), but it’s worth the drive!! You order at the counter and there’s a few tables outside or it’s a good to-go option (it’s really close to the beach, so I love picking up lunch from here and enjoying it on the beach). I also always bring home a dozen of their organic pasture-raised eggs from a local farm – they’re incredible!

I hope this was helpful! I’ll continue to update this post as new restaurants open, so remember to check back from time to time! Also check out my guides to Miami, Austin and Orange County!

Creamy chia pudding with all the toppings - love t Creamy chia pudding with all the toppings - love this for a satisfying breakfast! Chia seeds are packed with fiber and most of us don’t get enough fiber in our diets...

To make the chia pudding: in a blender add 1 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup chia seeds & 1/2 ripe banana (the banana is optional, but I love that it naturally sweetens it & makes it nice and creamy. Blend then pour into a jar and refrigerate overnight (or for at least an hour). Add desired toppings. I love fresh berries, grain-free granola & hemp seeds. Love some almond butter drizzled on top too!

I remember about two years ago I had a cough that I remember about two years ago I had a cough that was lingering so I went to a doctor that I had never been to before just to get checked out and make sure everything was okay. The doctor spent under 5 minutes with me, barely checked me out and almost immediately wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic. I was questioning why I was taking an antibiotic and he didn’t really take the time to explain and rushed off to another patient. I trusted my gut instinct that I didn’t need an antibiotic (I am definitely open to taking them was necessary), and 5 days later my cough went away on its own. I could dive deeper into this, but wanted to share that I am so glad I have found a doctor that spends adequate time with me - whenever I need - for as long as I need. You deserve that!! We all deserve that.

I’m so lucky to be in such great hands with @steadymd - they’re an online doctor that’s available via an app on your phone and you can reach out with anything anytime! I spent over an hour last week on the phone with my functional MD going over bloodwork. All of my questions were thoroughly answered. A functional MD is the best fit for ME (my doc takes a whole person approach to health & understands things like training, recovery & nutrition), but whats so great is SteadyMD matches you with a doctor that aligns with YOU and your specific medical needs, diet, lifestyle and goals, not just someone who's local based on a quick quiz you take!

SteadyMD is so convenient and refreshing and is EXACTLY what I've been looking for in a doctor. Plus it's super convenient - No co-pays. No waiting rooms. Just unlimited access to a doctor who “gets” you.

Click the link in my bio or visit steadymd.com/leahsplate to get started.

Thank you so much to SteadyMD for partnering on this post! I’m so grateful to partner with a company I believe in so much 🤍
Peanut butter & banana French toast roll ups!!! De Peanut butter & banana French toast roll ups!!! Def a big hit w the girls!!

First cut the crust off the bread (I used sprouted organic whole wheat) and then flatten with a rolling pin. Spread a layer of peanut butter over the bread, followed by thinly sliced banana (the banana just covering 1/4 of the bread), then roll up. Dip the entire rollup in egg & almond milk mixture (1 egg, 2 tbsp almond milk, cinnamon & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract). Cook on a frying pan over medium heat in coconut oil (or grass-fed butter). I heat up the frying pan a few min before placing the rollup on it. Cook for 2 - 3 min on each side. Drizzle some peanut butter on top & ENJOY!

It’s a beautifullllll day here in South Florida, so planning to spend the rest of the day outside w the girls & Josh. Putting my phone away & being present in what’s REALLY important (which is the people you’re spending time with in REAL life), not scrolling mindlessly on social media - something I’m really working on! 🤍
